1. What Skinstep Does
Skinstep is a skincare routine organizer that uses artificial intelligence to:

- Detect ingredient conflicts between products
- Suggest product application order and frequency
- Identify gaps in your skincare routine

The skincare routines, product recommendations, ingredient conflict warnings, and all other guidance provided by Skinstep are generated by artificial intelligence for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional dermatological advice.
- Always consult a dermatologist or healthcare provider before starting new skincare products, especially if you have sensitive skin, skin conditions (eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, etc.), or are pregnant or nursing.
- If you experience irritation, allergic reactions, or adverse effects from any product, discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional.
- Skinstep's ingredient conflict detection is based on general dermatological guidelines and may not account for your specific skin sensitivities or medical conditions.
- AI-generated product identification may contain errors. Always verify product names and ingredients against the actual product label.

2. AI-Generated Content
Skinstep uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze your products and generate routines. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, including incorrect product identification, ingredient analysis, or routine recommendations.
- Product identification from photos depends on image quality, label visibility, and AI interpretation. Results may not always be accurate.
- Routine recommendations are general guidance, not personalized medical treatment plans.
- We continuously work to improve accuracy but cannot guarantee error-free results.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate skin profile information for the best routine recommendations.
- Verify product identification against actual product labels before following any routine.
- Perform patch tests when introducing new products to your routine.
- Consult a dermatologist if you have skin conditions or concerns.
- Do not rely solely on Skinstep for skincare decisions affecting your health.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any purpose other than personal skincare routine management.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the app's AI functionality.
- Use the app to generate content that violates any law or regulation.
- Misrepresent Skinstep's output as professional medical or dermatological advice.
5. Intellectual Property
Skinstep and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Skinstep and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Product names, brands, and trademarks mentioned within the app belong to their respective owners.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Skinstep is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated recommendations will be accurate or suitable for your specific needs.
